Personal Injury Attorneys Proudly Serving the Village of Oak Lawn

The village of Oak Lawn is a Chicago suburb located just southwest of the city.

According to the 2010 Census, the village has an area of 8.59 square miles and had a population of 56,690 residents at the time.

The land which comprises Oak Lawn was purchased by James B. Campbell in 1835 and lost the land to the Illinois State Bank by 1840. John Simpson purchased the land in a publics auction and through improvements sought by nearby Worth Township, pupil action began to grow in the area and local businesses began to spring up.

The village was officially incorporated in 1909 and soon after, many improvements to local infrastructure and local government took shape.

After World War II, the village experienced a population boom with veterans returning to the area taking advantage of the G.I. Bill.

Many high profile celebrities hail from Oak Lawn, including former Chicago Cubs outfielder Brian Bogusevic, REO Sppedwagon frontman Kevin Cronin and Pat Sajak, longtime host of TV's "Wheel of Fortune."
