Personal Injury Attorneys Proudly Serving the Tinley Park Community
Tinley Park is located, in large part, in Cook County, IL. A small portion of the village rests in Will County. According to the 2010 Census, the village’s population was 56,703 in 2010.
Tinley Park has been a rich, thriving community for more than 100 years. Established in 1853, the village was originally incorporated as Bremen, IL, a name that stems from the community’s German origins. At that time, a variety of commerce contributed to the burgeoning economy of the area. Incorporated by its citizens in 1892 as the Village of Tinley Park, the village’s name now reflects the community’s historical connection to the railroad. Samuel Tinley Sr., the community’s first railroad station agent, was a symbol of the village’s development and remains a large part of the village’s historical relevance.
Always home to innovative leaders, Tinley Park has long fostered industry success from the village’s first factory, the Diamond Spiral Washing Machine Company (founded in 1905), to inventor John Rauhoff, developer of Ironite, a waterproofing compound used in the construction of Hoover Dam.
Today, Tinley Park stands as a beacon for families, commerce and tourists alike. Business Week named the village “The Best Place in America to Raise Your Kids” in 2009.
